About SummitMedia LLC
Our radio stations’ parent company, SummitMedia LLC, is a not too big, but not too small media company. That means we have all the benefits of larger organizations (such as great health coverage, matching retirement plans, paid time off), but we are small enough to be able to make decisions that positively affect our local communities, create a more inclusive working environment, and we have FUN in our office (more on that later)! We operate four radio stations here in the Upstate (but SummitMedia operates radio stations all across the US). The radio industry by nature is a fun environment – you never know what you’ll see walking down the hall. Famous people? Yep. A boy scout troop on tour? Sure. A dude in a chicken costume? It has happened. Radio is such a major part of American culture, we are able to make a large and lasting impact on our listeners daily. Not only do we play music, but we host big events, give away prizes, design marketing campaigns, and put on major concerts… and all of that takes time and effort from the people in front of AND behind the scenes.
